mud clients?

Hi,
A couple of friends are trying to get me into playing materia magica, but they use g-mud. I've tried it, and absolutely hate it. I was wondering if anyone knew of any better mud clients out there?

u can download it from chris-snyder.com/miriani, or go to toastsoft.net, click connect, and then click on "miriani sound pack". That has the client. It is accessible, just install a file called Monkeylib.exe. U can find on Chris's site.
